Win a £600 first prize for a story up to 250 words

The Edinburgh Flash Fiction Awards are run by Scottish Arts Trust, which also run the Scottish Arts Club Short Story Award and the Isabel Lodge Fund.

The Flash Fiction Awards are in two categories.

• The Edinburgh Flash Fiction Award is an international competition for stories up to 250 words. The prizes are £600, £300 and £150.

• The Golden Hare Award for Scottish Flash Fiction is for all Flash Fiction Award entrants who are resident in Scotland. There is a prize of £300.

The chief judges are Zoë Strachan and Louise Welsh.

The entry fee is £6 per story.

The competition opens on 1 July and closes on 30 September 2020.
