The winner of the international contest from CRAFT literary journal will receive $2,000
The competition is for original, unpublished short fiction up to 5,000 words.
The winner will receive $2,000 and a subscription to Journal of the Month. The second and third prizes are $500 and $300, and the top three will all be published in CRAFT, with an accompanying author's note/craft essay from each writer. All entries will be considered for publication in CRAFT. This year's judge is Kirstin Valdez Quade.
All entrants will receive a digital compilation of the winning stories, craft essays, judge's comments, and excerpts from the shortlisted entries.
Entry is $20 per submission.
The closing date is 2 May.
