Enter stories up to 4,000 words for a chance to win the top prize of £3,500
The Costa Short Story Award is given annually for a single unpublished short story of up to 4,000 words by a writer whose primary residence has been the UK since 2015.
Entries may be submitted by authors, agents and publishers. Only one story per author may be submitted.
A judging panel will draw up a shortlist of three stories and the public will be invited to vote for their favourite. The winner will receive £3,500, the second prize winner £1,000 and the third-placed winner £500.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 3 August.
