Glasgow Women's Library is inviting entries on the theme 'body positive' for its Scottish Women's Creative Writing Competition

Send short stories and poems, up to 1,000 words. Diverse interpretations of the 'body positive' theme are welcomed.

Shortlisted writers will be invited to read their work at the Bold Types Creative Writing Showcase on 30 November in the company of judges Anne Donovan, Sim Bajwa, Zoe Strachan and Wendy Kirk. Prizes, which will be announced on the night, include a one-to-one mentoring session with one of the judges and books.

The Bold Types: Scottish Women's Creative Writing Competition is supported by Book Week Scotland, and is open to any women who identifies as Scottish.

Entry is free. The closing date is 10 November.
