SaveAs Writers are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing with a competition

There are two categories to the All Things Moon competition, which invites writing on any aspect of humanity's relationship with the cosmos.

• Poetry. Enter poetry up to 60 lines. The prizes are the £200 Canterbury Christ Church University Poetry Prize, £100, £50. The entry fee is £3 per poem or £8 for three.

• Prose. Enter prose up to 3,500 words. The prizes are the £200 Saveas Writers International Prose Prize, £100, £50. The entry fee is £4 per story or £10 for three.

All entries must be original and unpublished.

The closing date is 31 August.
