Unpublished writers stand to win a publishing deal with a £15,000 advance

Submissions are invited for the 2021 Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize.

The Prize is in two categories, for published and unpublished adventure writers. Unpublished writers stand to win a publishing deal with a £15,000 advance.

• The winner of the Best Published Novel prize gets £10,000. Entries must be submitted by publishers and literary agents, and consist of adventure novels for adult or YA readers published between 1 may 202 and 30 April 2021.

• The winner of the Best Unpublished Manuscript gets £15,000 and a publishing deal with Bonnier Books, as well as the offer of literary representation with The Bravo Blue Agency. Up to six shortlisted writers get a manuscript consultation with David Llewelyn Authors entering in this category must not have published a novel or be represented by a literary agent.

Enter original, unpublished or self-published narrative adventure stories no shorter than 50,000 words. There is a submission fee of £39 before 22 January, and then £49.
