Win $3,000 for the first chapter of a YA novel in the competition from YA literary journal Voyage
The competition is international, and open to any writer. Submissions must be the first chapter of a YA novel, and must be written from the point of view of a young adult. The maximum length is 5,000 words. The novel does not need to have been completed, and may be in any style or genre.
The first prize is $3,000 and an hour-long consultation with literary agent Eric Smith of P.S. Literary Agency. The second prize is $300 and publication, and the third prize $200 and publication.
There is a reading fee of $20 per entry.
The closing date is 16 August.
