Pop Up Projects is inviting stories for children on the theme of difference by young writers
Not-for-profilt children's literature agency Pop Up will mark its 10th anniversary in 2021 by publishing Ten Stories to Make a Difference, featuring ten original stories, each one illustrated by a different artist. Each story will be ten pages long.
Three competition winners will each receive £500, be matched with an illustrator and have their story included in the anthology.
Stories may be for any age range from picture book texts for young children to prose fiction for YA readers. Entries may be between 750 and 3,000 words.
Writers entering the competition must be under 26 years of age.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 30 July.
