The annual contest from Bournemouth University has partnered with the Bournemouth Writing Festival
Now in its ninth year, the international Bournemouth Writing Prize has two categories: poetry and short stories. Enter original, unpublished short stories up to 3,000 words and poems up to 30 lines.
The short story prize is £500 and feedback from literary agent Laura Williams from Greene and Heaton. The poetry prize is £500 and feedback from poetry publishers Dithering Chaps. Winners will also receive two free tickets and an open mic clot at the Bournemouth Wrting Festival. Winners and shortlisted entries will be published in an anthology by Dithering Chaps.
Each entry costs £10 (for one short story or three poems).
The closing date is 15 January.
