The annual contest is aimed at furthering the careers of the writers who enter
The Bournemouth Writing Prize from Fresher Publishing has two categories: poetry and short stories. Enter original, unpublished short stories up to 3,000 words and poems up to 42 lines.
The short story prize is £500, feedback from a literary agent or editor and a professionally produced recording of the work. The poetry prize is £500, feedback and advice from poet Antony Dunn and a professional produced recording of the winning work.
Each entry costs £7.
The closing date is 27 January 2023.
