Creative writing award: The Genesis Jewish Book Week Emerging Writers Programme

Writers selected for the programme will receive bursaries and mentoring

The Genesis Jewish Book Week Emerging Writers' Programme is aimed at writers with no more than three year's experience of being published. Applications are invited in the fields of fiction, poetry and non-fiction. Applicants should be working on, or planning, a specific project with the aim of publication.

Selected applicants will receive bursaries up to £1,500, mentoring, peer support and a workshop programme.

Applicants should not have a current publishing contract.

To apply, send a 250-word personal statement, a 250-word summary of the project, a 250-word statement of the desired impact of inclusion in the project, a writing sample up to 1,200 words or three poems, a budget for up to £1,500 to support your writing.

The closing date to apply is 31 May.
