Two writers will each receive £20,000 funding for a current writing project exploring the Americas
Two writers will hold the award for a year. The award grants access to the British Library's Americas collections through a year-long residency. The winners will also have a chance of appearing at future Hay Festival editions with their published book.
To be eligible, writers should be engaged in a writing project relating to North, Central or South America and the Caribbean, due to be published in English, Spanish or any indigenous American language. Writing projects may be fiction or non-fiction. Writers should have an established publisher for the completed book.
Applications are open until 31 July.
