One UK-based carer will be awarded a free place to the York Festival of Writing
The Kit de Waal Bursary from Jericho Writers will offer a free place to the York Festival of Writing to a UK-based carer.
Kit de Waal will be writer-in-residence at the 2022 Festival, which will take place between 2 and 4 September. The Bursary in her name will cover a full weekend ticket (worth £695), which includes two nights' accommodation, access to more than 70 workshops, mini-workshops and events, and two agent one-to-one sessions. The Bursary also incldes travel from inside the UK to and from the Festival.
To be eligible, writers must be primary care givers. To apply, send the first 500 words of a writing project as well as information about your caring responsibilities and what impact attending the York Festival of Writing would have on you.
