The ILS has launched an open call for three £2,500 commissions to explore literature online

The ILS Collection, run by the British Council and Writers' Centre Norwich, is a series of work that examines how technology has impacted the written word. For Round Two, it will award three commissions of £2,500 for work that looks at how literature is written, translated, presented, mediated or expanded online.

The artists commissioned in Round One are Hazel Grian for Tendency to Spill, launching a chatbot that will help create short stories, and Martin Jackson, for tutorials, a poetry collection shared online via Google Docs that inverts the usual private experience of writing by inviting any visitor to the site to collaborate by reading, commenting and suggesting edits.

Pitches are welcomed from artists anywhere in the world that tackle issues round the specific space and language of the internet. Send an explanation of your intended approach (up to 500 words), a CV, details of/links to previous projects if relevant, a draft budget and a draft timescale.
