Crime novels and thrillers are the most-donated books given to charity shops, with Dan Brown the single most-donated author

Published earlier this week in the Guardian, Oxfam's annual bestseller charts - dominated by crime and thriller writers - had The Da Vinci code author topping its list of most-donated writers. However, he's not the most-bought: that would be Steig Larsson, for the second year in a row.

Now, here at WM we love a good rootle though charity shop bookshelves, and only yesterday lunchtime, triumphantly returned to the office with a JoJo Moyes and a Jennifer Worth.
