20 years old this year, Bookstart has launched a campaign to get people to pledge to share 20 books this year

Since launching in 1992, Booktrust's childrens' reading programme Bookstart has given 30milllion free books to babies, toddlers and three year-olds.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, suggested ways of pledging to share 20 books are:
Reading picture books with your own children or other members of your family at bedtime or at anytime!
Reading to a group of children in a school or a library
Joining a reading group
Recommending books to your friends
Posting a book review on a website.

One month into the campaign, more than 1,000 people, including authors, illustrators, celebrities and members of the public have already joined. These include HRH Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Jacqueline Wilson, Julia Donaldson and Philip Pullman.
