The competition is for fiction and creative non-fiction up to 15,000 words
For its Spring 2021 Story Contest, Narrative Magazine is inviting entries of short stories, flash fiction, essays, memoirs, photo essays, graphic stories, all forms of literary non-fiction and excepts from longer works (fiction or non-fiction).
The first prize is $2,500. The second prize is $1,000 and the third, $500. Up to ten finalists will each receive $100. All entries will be considered for publication in Narrative, and are eligible for the $4,000 Narrative Prize and consideration for Story of the Week.
All entries must be previously unpublished, and no longer than 15,000 words.
The entry fee is $27, which includes three months' access to Narrative Backstage.
The closing date is 31 July 2021.
