The Costa Short Story Award is for a single, unpublished short story. The winner will receive £3,500.
More than 1,000 entries were received, and all entries were judged anonymously. Members of the public are now invited to read and/or listen to the six shortlisted entries and cast their vote for the winner.
'This year’s competition has produced another brilliant selection of stories,' said Jim Slater, managing director, Costa UK and Ireland. 'We hope people will enjoy reading – and listening to them – on our website and most importantly, voting for their favourite.  The 2015 winner is in the public’s hands!'
Voting is open until 13 January. The writers' identities will be revealed after voting has closed.
