There's still time to apply for New Writing North's development programme to make work for BBC Radio 3's The Verb
Now in its fourth year, Verb New Voices 4 will work with three writers from the North of England, one between the ages of 18 and 25.
The selected writers will receive a paid commission to write an 8-minute piece for BBC Radio 3's The Verb. They will also receive a development package including a 2-day workshop with the BBC, a residential course at Arvon and a £2,000 bursary to support their involvement in Verb New Voices 4.
Applicants must not previously have had work broadcast by the BBC.
To apply, send a proposal up to 500 words for the work you'd like to develop for Verb New Voices 4, an outline of your artistic experience to date (up to 500 words), a sample of writing (five pages or ten poems) and/or a link to a video or soundtrack of your work.
The closing date to apply for Verb New Voices 4 is 14 March.
