Unpublished Irish writers are invited to submit to The 32: An Anthology of Working Class Writers edited by Paul McVeigh
Following the success of the Unbound-published anthology Common People, editor Kit de Waal has handed over the editing to The Good Son author and short story champion Paul McVeigh.
The 32 will be a collection of essays and memoirs from Irish writers from working class backgrounds. 16 contributions will be from well-known authors including Clare Allen, Kevin Barry, Lia McInerney, Roddy Doyle and Dermot Bolger. 16 further contributions will be included from emerging and unpublished writers.
To submit, send a piece of memoir up to 2,500 words plus a 500-word supporting statement. Submitting authors must be unpublished, unagented and resident in the island of Ireland.
The closing date to submit is 1 May.
