Scottish Book Trust has today launched a new writing project to explore Scotland's journeys
The project wants to build a written picture of the journeys – whether excursions, adventures, regular commutes or life-changing experiences – that have been important to the people of Scotland.
Personal pieces of writing about memorable journeys between 500 and 1,000 words are invited from people of all ages from all across Scotland. A variety of writing is acceptable, including (but not limited to) fiction, poetry, song lyrics, short plays or sketches, letters or diary entries.
The Journeys project will run from today until 30 June. All submissions will be published online, and a selection will be collated into an anthology that will be distributed during Book Week Scotland 2015 between 23 and 29 November.
