US-based independent feminist media organisation Bitch Media is inviting international applications for four $2,000 writing fellowships to develop and amplify diverse voices

Bitch Media publishes the award-winning quarterly Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture, weekly podcasts and daily online articles, and offers lectures and workshops around the world.

The fellowships have been created to develop new voices. The four fellowships will take place in 2017 from: 1 January – 30 March; 1 April – 30 June; 1 July – 30 September, and 1 October to 31 December. Fellows will work in one of the following subject areas: reproductive rights and justice; pop-culture criticism; technology, and global feminism.

During their fellowship, each fellow will produce at least six articles for Bitch Media and one long-form article for Bitch. They will receive mentoring and support, and will participate in bi-weekly discussions (in person or by Skype).

To apply, send a cover letter describing your interest in the fellowship area of your choice, a CV and three relevant writing samples.

Accepted fellows will receive a stipend of $2,000.
