Call for entries: Write Here Right Now

Win representation by Darley Anderson and ebook publication with Simon & Schuster in the competition for new commercial fiction

Simon & Schuster UK and Darley Anderson literary agency are looking for a new bestselling commercial fiction author. 

The theme they'd like entrants to consider is 'new beginnings and discovery.' Entries may be any kind of commercial fiction, including crime, historical, women's fiction and psychological thrillers. The winning writer will be offered literary representation by Darley Anderson and an ebook contract from Simon & Schuster to include standard author royalty. The winner will be announced at Bradford Literature Festival in June.

To enter, send the first three chapters or 10,000 words of the novel, a one-page synopsis and a one-page letter including information about yourself, why you are entering the competition, how your book fits the theme and a one-line hook of your novel.

Longlisted writers will be asked to submit their complete manuscript by 11 May.

The closing date to enter is 13 April.

Entry is free. One submission will be accepted from each writer.
