The app contains two chapters from every book in the indie publisher's current catalogue

Readers can select any title, sample a couple of chapters and read about the books' authors - including Nick Quantrill, Nick Triplow, Ian Ayris and R.C. Bridgestock. There are social media links to authors, and if a reader likes the sample and wants to buy the book, the app includes a buy button linked to the iTunes store.

'Making our entire catalogue available through an app makes perfect sense,' said Caffeine Nights CEO Darren Laws. 'We want readers to try before they buy and the app is the equivalent of a modern day book store. Readers can sample every book and look at the great artwork on each cover, giving them a real sense of what the books are about. All Caffeine Nights eBook titles are under £2, which is less than a cup of coffee but gives many more hours enjoyment.'

Content continues after advertisements

Darren intends the app to showcase his independent press to the wider media industry. 'The free app is also designed with film & TV and foreign rights agents in mind. It really is a simple way to present our catalogue of titles and introduce our authors. We want whoever downloads the app to get a real taste of our books and feel they can engage with the authors through the social media links.'
