Winners of the prestigious competition were announced in poetry, short story and flash fiction categories
The winners are:
Poetry
• First prize (£5,000): Daisy Behagg, The Opposite of Dave
Second prize (£1,000): Mary Woodward; third prize £500): Stephen Santus
Short story
• First prize (£5,000): Eve Thomson, A Man in Three Moments
Second prize (£1,000): Kerry Hood; third prize (£500): Sheila Crawford
Flash fiction
• First prize (£1,000): Nicholas Ruddock, Polio
Second prize (£500): Michelle Wright; third prize (£250): Sarah Baxter
The 2014 Bridport Prize will be open for online entries from November. Postal entry forms will be available in January 2014.
