The annual award has a prize of £5,000 for the best book published or self published by a British or Irish author aged 18 to 35

Entries may be full-length works of fiction, non-fiction or poetry, published or self published between 9 June 2018 and 14 June 2019. The award, which is administered by The Society of Authors, is for work with outstanding literary merit. In 2018, Adam Weymouth won for King of the Yukon.

The winner will receive £5,000 and there are three runners up prizes of £500.

To enter, submit five copies of the book or if it's an ebook, the manuscript as a pdf file.

The closing date is 15 June.
