Blottr claims to be the biggest citizen journalism website in Europe, attracting 2million monthly users since its launch in August 2010. It has 5,000 contributors.

Blottr, based in London, is a user-generated news service. The site carries global, national and local news content. New users need to register, and can then use the site to break their own news stories and comment on existing content. Members of the Blottr community can add text, tags, videos and photos to a story.
