The £1,000 short story competition is now open for entries until 4 August
The competition is for short stories of up to 3,000 words, which should be contemporary fiction. The winner and the rest of the ten-strong shortlist will be published in an anthology by Valley Press.
The Award is to raise finds for The Big Issue in the North Trust, which supports homeless and vulnerably housed people across the north of England.
