Original Voices, an ITV Project aimed at Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic writers living in the north-west, is looking for up to four writers
The selected Original Voices writers will spend time in the story department of ITV's flagship series Coronation Street, where they will develop knowledge of the show and skills at creating multiple story strands before writing a trial script that will be read by the show's producers.
Writing Magazine learned of this opportunity from Nick Ahad, who was featured in the July issue. Nick, who was chosen for this scheme when it launched on Emmerdale, had his first Emmerdale episodes televised earlier this year.
To apply, writers should email for details before sending in a sample script and a short synopsis and biog/CV quoting permanent residence in the north west (Granada region).
The closing date is 7 October.
