Pirate-themed poems and short stories are wanted by Pirates on Penzance Prom

The competition is in support of an attempt to regain the Guinness World Record for the most pirates in one place which will take place on Whitsun Bank Holiday (25 and 26 May).
Be a Write Pirate invites illustrations, poems of up to 40 lines, and short stories or prose of up to 400 words.
There will be a 'lovely prize to enrich their writing or illustrating life' for each of the adult winners in the three categories.
There is a £2 entry fee, and a closing date of 1 March.
Why not have a go at being a write pirate? Definitely beats walking the plank (and we're sure you can do better than that!)
