The independent publishing house has been acquired out of administration and will continue with a full publishing programme
It has been invested in by MediaFund, owned by Piers Russell-Cobb, and also by Andrew Gifford. Gary Pulsifer, who founded Arcadia in 1996, will retain his role as publisher. Twelve titles and twelve reprints are scheduled for publication in 2013. Arcadia specialises in literary fiction, translated fiction, EuroCrime, biography, travel, gay and gender studies.
Gary Pulsifer said: 'I'm delighted that Piers quickly stepped in to rescue the company and that we are carrying on business as usual. Business as usual means continuing to publish award-winning quality literature from around the world and further developing our EuroCrime series.'
