DHH Literary Agency is coming to Liverpool to look for new writing talent

From 26 August to 4 October, aspiring authors are invited to apply for a chance to pitch to the DHH Literary Agency team. 110 successful applicants will be invited to an event in Liverpool where they will have ten minutes to pitch to an agent.

To apply, submit a one-page synopsis of a novel plus the first 5,000 words.

DHH Literary Agency founder David Headley said: ‘This is the second time we’re taking Pitch DHH on the road, following our hugely successful event in my hometown of York last year. It’s so important to look outside of London for distinctive new voices, as many people can’t afford to spend time and money travelling to us. This time, we’re off to Liverpool, 2008’s European Capital of Culture, which has given us amazing writers such as Beryl Bainbridge and Frank Cottrell Boyce, and the city that my colleague Hannah Sheppard fell in love with when she lived there. I can’t wait to hear the incredible stories yet to come out of Liverpool.’
