There's still time to enter the award before the 19 April closing date.
The competition is for original, unpublished short stories up to 2,200 words.
The first prize is £1,200. There are second and third prizes of £300 and 100, a local prize of £50 and an Acorn Award for the best entry from an unpublished writer.
The entry fee is £9 per story.
