Create a plot that involves narrative loops in this week’s creative writing exercise
What might a loop, or repeat cycle, consist of, in terms of your story?
A simple example might be someone setting off every day to the same place and coming home at the same time.
Make a list of some loop possibilities you could apply in a story that interests you. What purpose could the loops have in terms of narrative?
How could they affect the way a character perceives the story you’ve put them in? How could you distrupt the looping cycle?
Start to create a set-up where loops of some kind are integral to the way the story unfolds.
