What could happen to your characters in a ten-minute period? Find out by trying this week's creative writing exercise!

Here's a scenario: two people are waiting next to each other in an airport departure lounge for a flight that has been delayed. They've been chatting but are, essentially, strangers.

For a couple of minutes, give your two characters names, ages and identities. Why are each of them catching this particular flight? What might be the consequences of them being delayed?

Now imagine there's an annoucement that the flight won't leave until the next day.
