Use an old photograph to create a new piece of work in this week's creative writing exercise

Find an old photograph of a group of people. (Charity shops are great places to find these.) Set the timer for five minutes. Describe what is going on in the picture. Look carefully at the background. What do you notice?

For the next five minutes write about what happened just before the photograph was taken. Why was it taken?

For the remaining time, create the first draft of a poem or the outline of a story about what happened next.
