With the Easter break in sight, use eggs to inspire a new piece of writing
For the first five minutes, think about eggs in any context that springs to mind – perhaps hatching chicks, a symbol of new life, breakfast, cooking, or chocolate. Write down your chosen egg, and any associations.
Next, think of the changing season. Pair your egg and its associations with your feelings about where you are at this point in the year. Writing in either prose or poetry, create a 10-minute sketch of a character at a particular moment in time. Use the egg imagery to reveal something about the character. It might be thoughtful, or spiritual, or comical... and of course, if you want to, you can write about yourself!
Happy writing!
