Week's exercise invites you to explore 'normality' in your creative writing
For a few moments, consider your thoughts about what is 'normal' and how that might change or alter. Make notes of any words, phrases and ideas that strike you.
Next, spend a couple of minutes starting to create a character who embodies your ideas of normality. Give them a name and create them at least three significant life circumstances.
For the next fifteen minutes write about this character adapting to a change in their circumstances. What is their 'new normal' and how do they respond to it?
Perhaps when you have finished this exercise, the character study you have created might form the basis of a new story, poem or piece of creative non-fiction.
