Write about mothering or motherhood in this week's creative writing exercise
It's Mother's Day on Sunday! So for this week's exercise we're inviting you to explore motherhood in any way that suggests itself to you.
You might want to write about a family, concentrating on the mother figure or the main character's relationship with her. You might want to write about what being a mother means to you. You might want to write about someone who is a mother-figure. Maybe you'll write about an alternative family, and what motherhood means within that. You might want to write from life, from your own experience. You might want to write fiction, or non-fiction, or poetry.
Whatever form is the best fit for your ideas, write for 20 minutes.
