Explore something that has gone missing in this week’s creative writing exercise
You decide what thing it is that’s missing – with one proviso. Chose an actual, physical object. It could be a piece of jigsaw puzzle but it might also be a part of a set of something, the back of an earring, a screw that’s fallen out of something.
Make creative decisions about what its non-appearance means, and to whom. What are the ripple effects of the thing not being there?
Write in any style or form for 20 minutes.
